I found another clerk who was very kind and very helpful and she said they were doing a shift change and she could help me. (We were all going to a NFL game 45 miles away). There were several other guests arriving at about the same time and she told all of them the same thing. She just sat there and told me I couldn't check in. She never checked to see if our room just might be ready. She told me in no uncertain terms that check in was at 4:00 PM and I could check back at 3:00 to see if there our room might be ready but 'check in is at 4:00 PM and you were told that when you made your reservation.' Well, NO, I was NOT told that when I made my reservation nor did it state any such thing in the confirmation email I received. She was literally doing nothing when I went to check in at 2:35 PM. We had a frustrating experience at check in.
